USB Host Stack

Universal Serial Bus (USB) is a fast, bi-directional, plug-and-play and low-cost serial interface which provides ease of connectivity between peripherals and host. With features such as high speed, hot swap, plug and play USB has become preferred standard for various consumer and peripheral devices.

USB connectivity standard allows up to 127 devices connected to a Host System. USB (Version 1.1) allows data transfer rate of 1.5 Mbps and 12 Mbps. USB (version 2.0) allows data transfer rate up to 480Mbps.

EBS’s USB is a highly modular, well-layered and extremely portable software stack for embedded systems. The software stack has been designed to work with or without an operating system making it suitable for a wide variety of embedded systems.

EBS’s USB host stack comes with a powerful yet easy to use Application Programming Interface (API)It supports all types of data transfers such as control, bulk, interrupt and isochronous. Isochronous data transfer mode is an optional feature.

USB software stack has built in support for various class drivers. Currently, USB SDK provides keyboard, mouse, printer, modem, mass storage device and Communication class Drivers.
