EBSnet Appoints Vice President Over Sales & Marketing

  Groton, Massachusetts - March 20, 2003

The Board of Directors of EBS Inc. & EBSnet Inc. announced the appointment of Thomas Volz to the position of Vice President over Sales & Marketing and his appointment to the companies' Board of Directors, effective January 13, 2003.

Mr. Volz is assuming the position of Vice President from Peter Van Oudenaren, President and CEO of the companies.

"Thomas Volz comes to the EBS companies with a wealth of management experience," said Mr. Van Oudenaren" and he brings with him a strong understanding of the embedded software industry, its global growth profile and profit potential. The Board of Directors is excited about the future growth and expansion of the companies' markets under Thomas' leadership."

In 1974, Mr. Volz formed Volz Investments where he is presently on the Board of Directors. He is also currently a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of eChipit Inc., a technology based marketing company.

From 1981 to 1985, Mr. Volz was employed by CPI Corporation, wherein he held a variety of positions in management and worldwide sales & marketing and in 1983, was appointed Regional Director, Eastern Region. In 1990, he was recruited to NSI Inc., a privately held Utah-based company, in which he served through his independent organization, as President and CEO. Within two years he developed distributorships in U.S., Canada, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong and Europe. From 1998 to 2001, Thomas Volz served as Vice President of Treck Inc., a Cincinnati based embedded software company. He was directly responsible for developing the vision and strategy, day-to-day management and new business development opportunities. In addition, he was responsible for Treck's sales operations worldwide and formed joint ventures in the U.S., providing software services for their markets, thus building the company's local and global positions into a growing and successful business. Mr. Volz introduced ISO 9001 and implemented company policies, procedures and documentation for this project. In 2001, Volz assisted in the sale of Treck Inc. to Elmic Systems of Japan, and the launching of Elmic Systems USA Inc.

"I am proud to be joining industry leaders such as the EBS companies," said Mr. Volz, "and look forward to engaging with its talented management team. Working together" he added, "we expect to build on the companies' well-established reputation as a driver of strategic initiatives in our ever-changing industry while remaining one of the preeminent providers of service and software products across the industry."
